Holiday Tags with Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hey peeps. Back to share a bit of inspiration with you.  I'm plowing away at trying to get my holiday tags made.  I use them a lot during this time of year.  So here is one of them for you to take a peek at.  I used the October Ribbon Club kit for my tag today.  The ribbon in this kit is perfect for the upcoming holiday.  The delicate stitched satin forest green ribbon paired up just right with my designer paper.  And I love the metallic silver string that's in the store.  FABULOUS!

Here's a close up of the metallic ribbon.  How awesome is that?  I made some serious loops with my Bow It All to get tons of sparkle at the top of my tag.  The best investment for making bows look fantastic!  Thanks for hanging out with me today.

Hugs and love~

Peace On Earth and A GIVEAWAY!

Hey peeps.  Are you getting your holiday cards made? I'm coming along slowly but surely.  Here is one card I made this week.  I love how this came out.  Super easy to make multiples at one time.  Using a stencil and embossing paste made it a breeze.

Holy RESIN!!!

Hey peeps.  I'm back today with a tutorial using some Environmental Technologies Inc. products.  This is the first time I have ever used resin and silicone products so I was excited to see how I could make some magnets with them. Here's is a tutorial to help you see how it all came together.

So let's start with the products I used to make my mold.  I used the Easy Mold Silicone Putty and the Ann Butler Designs 1" Stripes, Dots and Hearts stamp.  I used some nitrate gloves to protect my hands.

Make sure to follow the directions when mixing this product.  The directions will help ensure you have great results when making your mold.  You want to use equal parts of each product.

Next I'm going to use an Ann Butler Designs stamp from the 1" Stripes, Dots and Hearts stamp set.  This will make a great impression in my putty.  I used a few more items to make additional cast.  You can use buttons, charms, etc to make your casts.  The options are endless.

Once my putty has cured it's time to prep my EasyCast Clear Casting Epoxy.  I'm going to use some  Castin' Craft transparent dye in the color of amber and some glitter. Again, make sure you follow the directions for mixing your resin and hardener.  I made sure to use the Castin' Craft mold release on my molds to prevent my resin from sticking when it came time to release it from the molds.

Here is one of my resin pieces.  You can really see the details from my stamp now. Below is another casting where I used a heart pin to make my impression.  It will take approximately 24 hours for your resin to cure.

Since I had some resin left over I used one of my EasyCast Resin Jewelry molds to fill in a few hearts.

Here is what my resin looks like after it has cured for the 24 hours.  Pretty cool!!  I love the texture I got with the stamp.  This resin was really easy to work with as well.  Your biggest obstacle, your patience in waiting for it the cure. ;-)

I glued on a piece of background paper I made using a stamp from the 2" Leaves all over stamp set from Ann Butler Designs.  This made a great background for my heart resin.  Next I glued on some magnets to each piece and I was done.

I loved working this these products.  With all the great directions in each box it made the process rather easy and fool proof.  Now I just need to figure out what I'm going to make next.  LOL

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope I have your creative juices flowing.  Stretch outside of your comfort zone and give casting a try.  I never thought working with putty and resin could be so much fun.

Hugs and love~

Online Card Classes Holiday Card Workshop 2014

Hey peeps.  I'm busy, busy working on my homework for my latest class over at Online Card Classes.  I'm already behind.  LOL  I'm not near my stamp room right now so I do have an excuse.  But I did have time to squeeze (and I do mean SQUEEZE) in a few of my homework cards from my first day of class.  I LOVE the way this one came together.  Super easy to make and easy to multiple.  Yup, I'll be making lots of these!

I have to say this upfront...I WILL NOT be making multiples of this card for my holiday cards this year.  Holy cow!  Something that looked so simple to make was a pain in the you know what!  Love the results but I can't put my brain through this again.  This may be the ONLY one I make.  LOL

This on on the other hand was a breeze to make. I LOVED making this card.  I didn't have a tag or snowflake die (don't know how I don't have dies for these) so I used my Silhouette to make them.  I don't know why I don't use my machine more often.  I had twelve of these tags and snowflakes cut out and ready to use in no time. A little bit of Heidi Swapp tinsel color spray and I was on a roll.  I used an older Hero Arts stamp for my sentiment and stars along with Simon Says Stamp Schoolhouse Red ink.

Once I get back to my stamp room I'll be about to crank out some cards and load them for you to see.  I am totally inspired by all the cards I'm seeing the participants make.  WOW...these folks are talented.

Hugs and love~

First Project for Really Reasonable Ribbon And Party Time Tuesdays Challenge

Hey peeps.  How's it going?  Today is my very first post for Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Woot, woot I'm sooo excited.  Let's get on with the amazing products I used on my card.  As you know I love anything and everything fall.  The cool crisp mornings and the chilly fall evenings.  The best part is snuggling up on the couch with a cup of hot cocoa.  Oh the life!  I picked ribbon from the August ribbon kit from Really Reasonable Ribbon that includes some fabulous autumn diamond print grosgrain ribbon and the beautiful arianna natural crochet lace.  I have used the autumn diamond print ribbon on so many of my fall projects.  The colors work so well with this time of year.
Here's a closeup of my card.  I LOVE this cozy ribbon.  It reminds me of a wool sweater.  You know the kind you just snuggle up in.  I used the Bow-It-All to make my double loop bow.  As you all know I'm bow tying challenged so this tool is magical to me.  LOL

Since today is Tuesday it's time for a party over at Party Time Tuesdays.  We LOVE seeing all of your cards and projects.  Man, you guys are amazing!  Make sure to join in on the fun as this week the theme is anything goes!  I know you'll love that!  Put on those thinks caps and get creative.  I'm going to enter my card into the My Craft Creations challenge too.

Thanks for stopping by and I'll check you out soon!

Hugs and love~

Bring on the Glitter and Glam!!

Hey peeps.  Let's start the day off with a selfie.  LOL  How was everyone's Halloween?  We didn't seem to have as many kids as we usually do so we have TONS of candy left over.  And I MUST get it out of the house.  I really need to stop buying my favorite candy so when there is some left over I'm not diving in head first.
