Merry Christmas - Bugaboo Style

Hey peeps!!  Back with one last card before the holidays.  I just had to end December on a fun note.  I made this card which will be going to my Gram who has a hearty appetite for humor.  I just thought this image and sentiment from Bugaboo stamps would make her day. 

I colored my image with Copic markers and used a little bit of glossy accents, sepia pens and Copic opaque white to finish it off.  The paper is from the Carta Bella So This is Christmas paper pack.

I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. May you build great memories with family and friends.  I'll be back with a reminder regarding the upcoming Seasons Giving blog hop scheduled for January 1st.  Can you believe that this year is almost DONE!  The older I get the faster they go by. Sigh.....

BIG Holiday Wishes

Happy Holidays peeps!!  I hope everyone is ready for the holiday and not like me.  I am soooo far behind.  But ya know what....the day will come and I will be surrounded by my hubby and two kids.  That's all I need for the holidays.  My family means the world to me. 

With that being said, I wanted to send out BIG holiday wishes to all of you as well.  My December Simon Says Stamp card kit came in the mail today.  Perfect timing to make a card to  to wish everyone that follows me a Wonderful, Bright and JOYful holiday season.  Make peace with your loved ones, hang on tight to your dear friends and always remember the reason for the season. 

Now, I'm off to finish my Christmas decorating.  Yes, I'm not done yet!  I think the sips of eggnog might be slowing me down a bit.  ;-)

January Blog Hop - Sneak Peek

Hey peeps.  Thought I would give you a little peak inside my January Blog Hop Box.  Yes, that's right I have a blog hop box.  Everyday I will be adding something new to the box.  It could be paper, ribbon, gems, stamps, diecuts.  You never know what might make it to the box.  I am sooo excited to be able to give back to all my followers new and old.  I have been extremely blessed to share my love of crafting with some of the most inspiring people I know.

EXCITING NEWS

Hey my lovely peeps.  I don't have a card for you but I do have some exciting news.  After a lot of thinking and discussion between me, myself and I, "we" have decided to start a Youtube channel and a Facebook page in the coming new year.  This is a venture I have put on the back burner for years now.  The whole, "does my voice really sound like that", "I'm not a rock star like my crafting heroes" and last put not least, "can I stand out in the crowd."  Well I really don't have answers to any of those questions but I'm going to give it a try anyway.

For all of my loyal followers I want to thank you for being a part of my cyber life.  You have all really given me the inspiration to try this out.  And as a thank you, boy do I have a double dose of HAPPINESS coming your way.  I might end up being your crafting icon.  Well, not really but it sure did sound good.  LOL  Starting in January there will be a HUGE blog hop.  You will have to hold on a bit for all the details but trust me when I tell ya, IT'S GONNA ROCK YOUR WORLD!!!  While I fiddle around with trying to do my first video, and getting myself presentable for the camera I would love for you to spread the word about my blog and upcoming Facebook Page and YouTube channel to all your crafty friends.  The more followers we can get the better the prize pot will be.  And I know you guys LOVE some free crafty things.  You know word of mouth is a great advertiser.  :-)  If you are able to do that for me, I will DOUBLE your chance to win during the upcoming hop in January.  Make sure you leave me a comment letting me know you have spread the word.

MFT Sketch Challenge

Hey peeps.  Happy FRIDAY!  Who's ready for a weekend?  Well I'm back today with a quick card.  I have had the hardest time sleeping the last couple of months.  I find myself WIDE awake ALL night long.  So since I couldn't get any peaceful sleep, I decided to get up and make a peaceful card.

Today's card is from the My Favorite Things sketch challenge. I used their Contemporary Roses set.  I love how soft my card turned out.  The scalloped border was made with a Martha Stewart punch and I embossed a small row of twigs across the top.  You can't really tell but the roses have been heat embossed with Sparkle and Sprinkle Raspberry Sherbet powder and back stamped with Pink Pirouette ink.

Thanks for swinging my way today.  I think I will go curl up in bed now and see if I can get some sleep.  After I have a cup of coffee and a donut. ;-)

Is It Summer Yet?

Hey peeps.  I know...sad of me to be asking the question right?  It's not that I want to rush through the holidays or season but I sure would love to be on someone's beach this week.  Yup with a cute cabana boy serving me fresh tropical drinks.  Okay, I better get back to reality.  I'm in Georgia on a rainy and gloomy day.  A girl can wish can't she?  :-)

I'm entering my card into the SCS challenge as well as the Some Odd Girl challenge.  For the SOG challenge you needed to create a background.  Well I created mine with stamps from the Avery Elle All Squared Up stampset.  I used Distressed and SU ink pads.  I think I really like the groovy feeling of this card.  Now, if I could only look like that in a bikini! Sigh....let's not even go there.
