Happy Birthday Kim

Back with a quick card.  I wanted to show you a card I made for a sweet friend of mine.  I've been away from work and I missed her birthday.  Hopefully I will be returning back sometime this week and this is the birthday card I made for her.  I saw this technique done by Jennifer McGuire (a stamping legend in my eyes).  I love the way she used the Kelly Purkey dies to create such a beautiful card.  I just had to try it out myself.

The images are from Verve Dream Big set.  I used SU Really Rust, Crush Curry and Close to Cocoa ink pads along with Memento Pear Tart.  The leaves are feathers are a die from Kelly Purkey.  I'm also going to enter this card into the Seize the Birthday challenge.

Well gotta run.  Make sure to swing back by this week as I have some very exciting news to share with you.

CMC Challenge - Fall Colors

Hey peeps.  Hope everyone had a great weekend and are striving to make this a great Monday.  I'm back with a card for the new challenge over to Color Me Creative.  Since the weather is changing and fall is in full bloom we would love to see your fall cards.  Now mine is not really a fall card BUT it does have fall COLORS. :-)  A few months ago I was down in Florida and ran across a stamp store in St Augustine.  Well I didn't just run across it.  Every time I leave Georgia and head out of state I'm always looking for stamp stores to "swing" by.  LOL  And my ever so loving husband drives me there and waits in the car while I shop.  I'm sure he waits in the car because he really doesn't want to see me squeal over all the stamping stuff.  And of course, he really doesn't want to see the amount I spend in these stores either.  Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Anyway, I feel in love with a sample card that was done at the store and "HAD" to purchase this stamp from Northwoods Rubber Stamps.  I stamped it with Versamark on watercolor paper and embossed it black embossing powder.  I used my Tsukineko markers and a water pen to blend the colors.  Once that was done I used my Wink of Stella Brush in clear to add some sparkle along with some Stickles in Diamond.  The paper is from the August Kraftin' Kimmie Krafty Kardmaking Kit.    Well, I hope you enjoyed your visit today and will join in on the fun at CMC.

For The Boys

Hey peeps.  Hope everyone has been doing good.  One more day until Friday.  Have been home the past week not feeling well so I have had plenty of time to color!  I made this card for the challenges over at Splitcoaststampers and Mo's Digital Pencil

My nephew is a fanatic about video games so this one will be going in the mail to him soon.  Now, if they can only get him off that thing to do his homework?!?  ;-)  The image is from MDP and it's called Video Boy. I used Bazzill paper and a couple of sheets from the Echo Park Little Boy Collection.  The sentiment is made with Your Next Stamp Clear Skinny Font Alpah set.   Gotta run to do some more coloring. :-)

Holiday Love

Okay I know, two cards in one day!  Yup, that is how I'm rolling into the weekend.  Thought I would join in on the action over at Kraftin' Kimmie and Mojo Monday.  This adorable image called Penelope was colored up with Copic markers and paired with this amazing paper from Carta Bella called Merry and Bright.

I used the sketch from this week's challenge over at Mojo Monday.  I haven't played with them in a LONG time so it was great posting a card there tonight.

Well, thanks for swinging by today.

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge

Hey peeps.  Are you ready for the weekend?  I sure am.  Took some time to join in on the fun over at Mo's Digital Pencil challenge.  I had this image colored for over a year I think sitting in my bin labeled "images colored and matched with paper". Yup, I have a bin called just that.  I know, crazy right.  But it makes it sooo easy to join in a challenge without having to start from scratch.  Now, aren't I the clever one?!?!  LOL

Anyway, I hope everyone has  a great start to their weekend.  I'm hoping to convince my husband to change my stamp room around for me.  He's only done it like five times already.  ;-)

Hey peeps.  I'm posting my card for the current challenge over at Color Me Creative.  It's another ATG so let's see your creations.  Our sponsor for this challenge Stamp Fairy.  If you have not seen these adorable digi images you sure have been missing out.  Since I had this adorable image I decided to make another holiday card.  Don't have the amount I should have by this time but I'm getting there one card at a time. :-)

I hope you join us for the challenge.  I'm confident that you can come up with some fabulous cards and projects for the challenge.  I'll be back later in the week with another card to share.

Kraftin Kimmie Challenge

Hey peeps.  What day is it?!?!?  Come on now...it's HUMP DAY!!  I LOVE that darn camel commerical.  I fall out laughing every time I see it.  Okay enough about the little things in life that make me giggle.

I'm back with a card for the Kraftin' Kimmie challenge.  I have to say I LOVE how this card came out.  So super excited to send this one out to someone special.  Okay, is it just me or do you hold on to your favorite cards?  I don't know why I do that but I need to break that habit and show the love to some of my favorite peeps.

I used the Perfect Poison image today along with some fabulous Doodle Bug paper. Did I ever mention that I was a paper hoarder too?  Just checking because I know there's more people besides me that hoard their paper.  Come on don't be shy.  Admitting it is the first step. The arrow is from MFT Lead the Way die set.

Here's is a quick closeup of my card.  Doesn't she look evil and cute at the same time?  Like a Evil Kin.  I have to stop watching all of these Investigate ID murder shows.  Anyway this was the first time I used the dotting technique around my card.  I kind of like it.  I always see Cheryl from the Kraftin' Kimmie DT  (The Ink Trap) doing this around her images.  Hope I made you proud Cheryl. :-)

Well off to do some more coloring.  Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their day.

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge

Hey peeps.  I hope everyone had  a safe and entertaining Labor Day weekend.  I spent most of the time in the house organizing my clear stamps.  I'm using the organization tip from Jennifer McGuire.  I have all of my clear stamps categorized now on Evernote and separated out in categories in my new bin.  I must say, it is so much easier to locate all the clear stamps having them in one place.

Since I needed to take a break from all that, I decided to color up Halloween Lu Lu and join in on the fun over at Kraftin' Kimmie.  I purchased their new August stamp kit and I'm in love with all the goodies that I got.  I hope the stamp kits become a permanent purchase.  I am HOOKED!  LOL

Well thanks for stopping by today.  I wish a a fabulous rest of the week.

Hugs and love~
