Party Time Tuesday Challenge #100

Hey peeps.  Well I didn't make it back yesterday with a card but I do have one for you today.  I had some down time so I thought I would color up an image and join in on the fun over at Party Time Tuesdays.  Jenn's challenge this week is anything goes so it was super easy to make a quick card and have some fun with the ladies.

This image is from Saturated Canary.  I love coloring these images.  You can't tell from the picture but the entire card has sparkles on it.  I used my sparkle Shimmer spray and in real life it is soooo pretty.  I really like how this card came out.  I've been working for the last few hours with my Copic markers and going over some of my class material from Color Me Creative.  I think I'm getting a tad bit better on my pleats.  Suzanne's classes always bring me such inspiration.  If you have not taken a class, make sure you do.  You won't want to miss out on anything that she teaches.

Well gotta run.  I feel a coloring spell coming on. :-)

MFT Guest DT

Hey peeps.  I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and Santa was good to all of you.  In my case, I'm pretty good to 'myself" during this time of year.  LOL  I always manage to get myself a fabulous Christmas gift since I'm been so good all year long. :-)  But hubby out did the gift giving this year. He's taking the family to DISNEY!!  Have I ever told you how much I love my hubby?!?!

Anyway, since the days have slowed down I'm back in my stamp room doing what I love instead of stressing over what needs to be done.  Today's card is being entered into the MFT Guest DT challenge.  I'm REALLY hoping to WOW the team this month with my card.  I purchased this set called You Mean The World to Me during MFT retirement sale.  I simply adore this stampset as this is what I have been telling my husband for almost twenty years.  He does mean the world to me and I have followed him around it...literally.  He's been in the AF for almost 27 years and counting.  So this is rather fitting for our family.

I colored my image with Copic markers and used two Die-namic die cuts (monarch border and fishtail flags stax).  The designer papers from My Minds Eye Lime Twist Out of the Blue.  The rest is Stampin' Up. I used SU chalk to make the grass and clouds.  I tried to get some really great color on my card so it would stand out and show off my use of different mediums on how I design my cards. I hope the DT members see my talent and select me as this month's guest DT pick.  Wish me luck.

Thanks for swinging by today.  Hope to be back tomorrow with another card!

DP2 Challenge

Hey peeps.  Happy Saturday.  Hope everyone is having a great start to their weekend.  We I guess you really start it on Friday. :-)  Anyway I have a card for you today that I'm entering into Mo's Digital Pencil challenge.  It's an anything goes challenge so it was pretty easy to put together my card.  As I have told you a few times I do alot of "pre-coloring" of images.  I pick an image, match it to paper and color away.  Then I put it in a folder I have just for these kinds of challenges.  The sentiment is from Verve. All I have to do it pick a layout and I'm done.  This way I'm keeping my coloring skills up too.  I could color with my Copic markers all day if I could. ;-)  Plus this image reminds me of my daughter when she was small.

Speaking of my precious baby girl, she is graduating college today.  This is a picture of my NOT so little baby girl.  Finally she can eat something more than cereal.  LOL  Love you Jazmin.  Your Dad and I are so proud of you.  Can't wait to see the blessings God is going to rain down on you during your next journey.

YNS Fun Friday

Hey peeps.  Today it's time for another Fun Friday from Your Next Stamp.  Your Next Stamp has been in business now for three years and boy has Karen released some amazing stamps and dies.  So we are reflection on some of our favorites during this month.  One of my favorites just happens to be a newer release called Winter Smiles Robin.  I am a HUGE snowman fan so this image is right up my alley.  I colored my image with Copic markers and used the sentiment from the Joyful Wishes stamp set.  I have a ton of snowman paper so this little guy fits right in with all my "other" snowmen.  LOL

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you back here soon.

Glitter Christmas Ornaments

Hey peeps.  Glad you stopped by today.  I have some holiday cheer to spread. After seeing tons of these glittered ornaments being made I thought I would have a go at it.  They were super easy and quick to make.  I found some clear light bulb ornaments from Hobby Lobby.  I already had the floor wax and glitter so I was good to go.  It's a really simple process.

Remove the top of the ornament.  Pour in some floor wax and roll it around inside the ornament to get it fully covered then pour out the remaining wax.  Next just pour in some glitter and shake, shake, shake.  If you see that your ornament isn't getting covered, add in more glitter and keep on shaking.  Pour out the remaining glitter and viola, you have a glittered ornament.  I used my white Sharpie paint marker to add the letters.  Then all you have to do is put the top back on and try some ribbon at the top for the recipient to hang them on their tree.

I added this card to the bag and I do believe that "Jenn" is going to be very happy today!  If you are wondering how to make this peppermint candy checkout this tutorial by Beccy Muir.

Hope you liked my holiday cheer.  Hope to see you back here soon.

Hugs and love~
