Another Holiday Card

Another holiday card. I had this image colored since last week since I was practicing on coloring pleats with my Copic markers.  I thought I would enter my card into the 7 Kids College Fund challenge.  I'm not a huge fan of the Magnolia images because they don't have mouths so I drew my own nose and mouth.  What do you think?

MFT Sketch #99

Hey peeps.  Here's a card I'm entering into this week's sketch challenge over at My Favorite Things.  I used the Flower Silhouette Stamp Set.  I really love the flowers and sentiments in this set.  So versatile and pretty.  I wanted to have a little bit of contrast on the front panel so I only colored in two of the flowers with my Copic markers (R29 and R59).  The paper is from the Basic Grey pack called Dasher.

Sweet Sunday Sketch

Hey peeps.  Hope everyone has had great Thanksgiving weekend.  I'm back in my stamproom in a tizzy trying to get all my Christmas cards done.  The first one I'm showing you is for the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.  This was perfect for making a quick and cute holiday card.  Used my SU ornament punch, Cuttlebug embossing plate, MFT Fish tail banner and viola one card down.











Then I cam across this card on Pinterest from Creative Inspirations and thought....I need to make that card but with the supplies I have on hand.

After a few go arounds with sentiments stamps this is what I came up with.  Still liking the card I cased.  Might have to make another purchase from My Favorite Things.  ;-)

Well off to create some more cards.  Can't have too many holiday cards.

YNS Fun Friday - Gift Giving

Hey peeps.  Hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  And for those of you that were out with the crowds this morning...God bless you.  I surely don't have the patience for it.  Today I'm featuring my Fun Friday project for Your Next Stamp.  Since the holiday gift giving time is upon us, my husband and I have loads of holiday parties to attend.  So I thought I would make some wine bottle tags with my Silhouette Cameo to place on each bottle I plan on giving the hostesses.  This one is made with the Tree Trio Die set.  I used the circle left over from the tag and layered it on a small nestabilities circle.  The sentiment is from the Joyful Wishes stamp set.  Viola, an adorable gift and rather tasty too. :-)

Well back into my stamp room I go.  Many more tags to make.  Might have to sip on a little bit of wine myself.  LOL  Don't forget to check out what some of the other DT members have for you on the YNS blog.  Karen is also having a HUGE Black Friday sale (20%-80% off) off of stamps and dies!!  You surely don't want to miss out on that!!

CMC and Sketch Saturday

Hey peeps. Hope everyone is having a fabulous Thanksgiving.  I'm a tad bit early with my CMC card this week but I wanted to get it posted so I could join in on the fun at Sketch Saturday challenge too.  For the challenge over at CMC we want to see you use non traditional colors on your holiday card.  This adorable image is from Digi My World.  Isn't he the cutest?!?!  I wanted to try the monochromatic look on my card.  IRL the browns actually match but not so much in this photo. :-(   Starting tomorrow Suzanne is having a Black Friday sale so don't miss out it.  It's a BIG ONE!!

Well I'm off to stuff my face a little bit more.  Since I ate dessert first, I guess it's time to move on to the turkey. ;-)

Give Thanks

Hey peeps.  First let me say Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends and followers.  I know....I'm a day early.  Tomorrow I will be making my normal feast for the family and will probably be too tired or have too much "adult beverage" in me to remember to get online and say it. LOL  I'll be sipping on my wine while shopping the internet.  I DON'T do crowds!  They drive me crazy.

Anywho, here are some gifts I gave to some of the sweetest ladies I know.  We have a "spouse" dinner once a month and I needed them to know that I am so thankful for their friendship.  Being a military spouse you run across some of the most amazing ladies.  This group of ladies are the BEST EVER!! 

Well, gotta run.  Have to start my pies and sip on some "punch".  LOL

CMC Challenge with a Mo's Twist

Hey peeps.  Hope all is well on this blessed Sunday.  Here's my card for the CMC Challenge and Mo's Digital Pencil challenge.  This week at CMC we challenge you to make a kid friendly card.  So my image from MDP called Bella Carrying the Cake was perfect for this challenge.  And the challenge at MDP was to use something starting with "C".  I think CAKE starts with a  C but so does CALORIES.  Okay, not I'm sad.  LOL  Look it there...two challenges with one card!  I've out done myself today. :-)

Remember if you are still trying to beef up your Copic skillz CMC is the place to be for all the awesome classes that Suzanne has.  Also, with so many images from MDP your coloring options are endless.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday

Hey peeps.  Have a quick are for you today.  Had a chance to participate in the Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge.  Had to make a holiday card and this way the perfect sketch to use for my image for Digi My World.  I used paper from Recollections Jolly and Bright, Copicx, a snowflake brad and viola!

Your Next Stamp Fun Friday

Hello peeps.  Have I have a quick and easy YNS Fun Friday project for you.  I have a TON of co-workers that I adore but it can be very expensive to give each of them a holiday gift.  So with my thrifty thinking cap on I made these little peppermint filled treats for each of them.  I found the containers at a local craft store and filled each with a handful of peppermints.  Using my YNS Fancy Frame Die I could out a frame for my sentiment from the Holiday Joy Robin cling set.  My new frame is hanging on by some Cherry Divine Twine.  Super quick and easy gift giving idea for neighbors, friends and co-workers.  Best part...you won't break the bank.

MFT Guest DT Card

Hey peeps.  Happy hump day.  Thought I would throw my hat in the ring for the November My Favorite Things DT guest spot over at SCS.  I love the layout for this month's card.  So cute.  I purchased some of the retiring sets from MFT last week including Fred The Bear - Snow Bear  I wanted to use this one because I think Fred is just adorable.  I also found a way to use all the of the stamps in the set. Hope the crew at MFT can see how I really made this stamp set stretch out of the box by incorporating all the the images and sentiments.  :-) I think I can add a little bit of  whimsy if I'm chosen for this honorable guest spot!!

Wish me luck everyone as the competition is amazing.  But even if I don't win, I'm fortunate enough to have time to play with my new found treasures from MFT.

YNS New Release Sneek Peek
